Monte Carlo’s South-of-France setting is an interesting backdrop for a modern American menu with hints of Southwestern élan. Sunlight washes the restaurant’s soft pastels and neutrals to create a summery atmosphere at breakfast and lunch, with dinner’s Mediterranean mood being equally relaxed. Favourites from the menu include the Campeche Club Sandwich, Tex Mex Benedict and homemade Tortilla Soup.

One of Dallas’s favourite ways to spend a Sunday is grazing the Malachite Sunday Brunch, a classic spread that far surpasses an expanded breakfast buffet. The impressive selection includes hot and cold breakfast and lunch specialties, and the Mimosas, made of champagne and chilled orange juice, flow freely. A local jazz trio entertains our 300 or so guests, many of whom are regulars.
