First time and seasoned visitors alike can experience a delightful Parisian morning in one of the numerous cafes just made to sit in and watch life go by. Days in Paris can happily be spent wandering through side streets, stopping at cafes (you will soon begin to earmark your favourites) and picking spots along the river to breathe in the city. For sheer enjoyment though, and after a morning's wandering, there is nothing quite like my favourite place, the famous tea room Angelina's, which is a truly Parisian place. With a setting that feels like the inside of a golden chocolate box and some of the greatest desserts ever made, this place is built to make your stomach crave more. The Chocolat L'Africain is particularly popular. It is a running argument between myself and our bellhop over whether Angelina's is better than Laduree, which serves admittedly delicious macaroons in a similarly ornate setting. For me, the location of Angelina's pips that of Laduree, as it is right across the street from the unbeatable Louvre gallery.
The Louvre is probably the greatest gallery in the world and a veritable Cathedral of Art. The treasures of Leonardo da Vinci are housed here; simply a must visit for art lovers. Please don't forget to ask us for tickets that save you having to queue. For a fabulous lunch in the Louvre area there is the chic and quintessentially Parisian Cafe Marly, which serves wonderful food in an ambience polished by beautiful waitresses and dazzling light.
To finish a Parisian day, the shows at the Lido, Paris's original cabaret show, are tremendous fun. There is something special about this city, something intangible that those who live in it, and those who know it, feel drawing them back. Together, my team and I hope to help you bond with this city so that you too will feel this powerful and compelling lure.
