Sign up for the morning bike tour through the beautiful ecological park Aztlan on la Laguna del Negro, where you can see an extraordinary variety of wildlife, including crocodiles, turtles and herons. When you observe nature in the morning with a clear head, it always seems that much fresher and more engaging. Then, enjoy breakfast by the Marina Ixtapa where you can eat while watching the spectacular luxury yachts that arrive in the harbor.

Take a trip to the beach village of Zihuatanejo and enjoy a leisurely stroll along the boardwalk. If you are lucky you will still find fishermen selling their catch of the day to restaurant buyers. Then have lunch at La Sirena Gorda ('the fat mermaid' in Spanish). This is where the seafood taco originated. Afterwards drop into the Museo de Arqueologia de la Costa Grande to see its collection of ancient pottery and art.

Just before sunset, climb up to the Villa de la Selva restaurant, the former summer home of one of Mexico's presidents. This restaurant has a spectacular cliff-side location and is the best place to watch the sunset while you're enjoying a cocktail (try a margarita or martini, as these are especially well made). The view, the air and the whole atmosphere is one of romance and pleasure. Dine, drink and feast your eyes on a view you will never tire of.
