Our tap water is excellent and safe to drink. It originates from Schneeberg and Rax in the foothills of the Alps.

Transportation

To visit Vienna’s sights individually, it is best to use public transportation which is fast and safe. Venna offers a very good transportation network and cheap tickets (EUR 1.80 for a single ride if the ticket is bought ahead of time, EUR 2.20 for a single ride when bought on the vehicle itself). Alternatively, visitors can buy The Vienna Card which costs EUR 18,50 and allows to discover the city for 72 hours by underground, bus or tram.

Most Viennese speak English, and you will find the locals are extremely helpful.

For the third time in a row, the survey results give Vienna top grades, ranking Austria's capital as the WORLD'S MOST LIVABLE CITY 2011.
