DID YOU KNOW?

MEDELLIN WILL SURPRISE YOU

Medellín is a city in continuing progress. Thus, it is not unusual for those who visit the city with some frequency, to encounter new places to visit; new things to do: modern shopping centers, party areas, modern, eye-catching public parks, museums and theaters with a wide variety of scheduled events, making it all the more attractive and cosmopolitan. In Medellín the old and the new combine in just the right proportions to create unique surroundings contributing to unforgettable experiences. Rural and urban environments are also blended in such a way that you can enjoy Nature without giving up all the modern comforts. To the list of traditional tourist attractions like The Planetarium, the Botanical Garden, the Metropolitana Cathedral, the Museum of Antioquia, the Explora Park, and the Parque Norte Amusement Park already crowding the visitor’s agenda we must add many other must-see places like cable cars, nursery schools, the Parks and Library, and the Linear Parks, among others.

WHAT TO PACK?

What to Pack:

Packing for your trip to Medellin is not very hard at all. Since Medellin is known as the land of eternal Spring, you simply need to pack as if you were taking a trip during the Spring time. Medellin's temperatures are pretty constant all year, which mean's good weather year round. However, you should bring a light jacket and a travel umbrella as it can rain and it's always good to be prepared. Of the many trips we've made to Medellin we've only experienced occasional light showers. A clothing list should consist of the following: Shirts: Both casual and dress casual will work fine Pants: Jeans and or maybe a pair of docker style pants Shoes: Comfortable walking shoes and possibly a pair of casual dress shoes Coat: Light jacket MISC: Travel umbrella, travel iron (optional) Additional Items to think about. The flight to Medellin is anywhere from 3 - 10 hours depending from where you're traveling from. So think about stocking up on or updating your music collection for your IPOD or MP3. You may also want to stock up on movies for your trip.
