TEMPERATURE
The weather in Hamburg can change from one minute to the next. As the city is so close to the sea, it may be rather windy at times. Temperatures can reach 35C in Summer, are 10-15C in Spring and Autumn, and can fall to -15C in the Winter.

Mont Blanc
Mont Blanc, which was founded in Hamburg, is known worldwide for fine writing instruments. One of their fountain pens makes a perfect souvenir.
Euros
Although credit cards are generally accepted, it is advisable to carry at least some money ; just enough to cover airport incidentals, taxis and transport to the hotel.
Medication
If you are on special medication, keep a copy of your prescription. It will make it easy to replace or renew your medication.
Taxis
Always ask for a taxi receipt. If you've left anything in the car, you can easily trace the driver.
