How do I achieve Royal Ambassador status?

InterContinental Ambassador is a loyalty program that delivers outstanding benefits exclusively at InterContinental Hotels and Resorts properties worldwide.

You can join online at http://www.intercontinental.com/ambassador or by calling the Ambassador Service Center at +44 870 400 9099 / 1 800 462 6686. You can also join at any InterContinental Hotels & Resorts location.

InterContinental Ambassador status holders are entitled to higher levels of recognition valid only at InterContinental Hotels & Resorts. Members will receive the following benefits at InterContinental brand hotels:

• Priority waitlist reservations
• Late checkout until 4:00 pm
• Instant check-in
• Instant checkout
• Complimentary Weekend Night Certificate upon enrollment and renewal
• Fresh fruit and mineral water upon arrival

The membership fee for new members is US $200. Priority Club Rewards members may also purchase membership for 32,000 points.

The standard delivery period is within two to three weeks (for US, Canada, Europe, Africa, Mexico, Central/ South America, Caribbean) or within two to four weeks (for Asia Pacific, Middle East). The membership portfolio includes: 5,000 Priority Club points voucher, Complimentary Weekend Night Certificate, Luggage tag, InterContinental Ambassador membership card.

Upon enrollment, status holders can start enjoying the outstanding and exclusive benefits immediately.

Guaranteed room upgrade is provided upon check-in.

No, Ambassador benefits apply exclusively at InterContinental Hotels & Resorts. However, Priority Club Rewards member status and benefits apply to all brands of IHG hotels.

The Complimentary Weekend Night Certificate is valid for 12 months from the date of issue. The expiry date is printed on the Certificate itself.

This weekend night certificate is valid on the second night of a minimum two-night paid weekend stay on the Ambassador Weekend Rate at any of over 150 InterContinental® Hotels & Resorts properties worldwide. To book your Complimentary Weekend Night please visit intercontinental.com/AMBWeekend or contact the Ambassador Service Centre at ambassador@priorityclub.com. The original Certificate must be presented at time of check-in or the hotel may decline the booking.

Certificates are valid only for the member who has InterContinental Ambassador status, and are not transferable. Sale or barter of the Certificate will render it void. The Certificate is valid for room and tax only.

Weekend is determined as Friday, Saturday and Sunday, except in the Middle East where hotels may define weekend as Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Ambassadors need to book on the Ambassador Weekend Rate ("AMB Certificate") in order to claim their free weekend night. Certificate is only valid on the second night of a minimum two night paid weekend stay and is not valid in conjunction with Reward Night bookings or any other free night offer. The Certificate is not valid on any other rates or for suite bookings. Advance reservations required. Rooms on the Ambassador 'Weekend rate' are subject to availability.

Royal Ambassador status is extended by invitation only to a small percentage of InterContinental Ambassador guests, based on the number of nights they have stayed during the past year.
