With its new location, authentic homemade Mexican food cooked to perfection for over fifteen years was established in 1989 by Doña Eliza Espinosa and her Family from Guanajuato, Mexico. With a new location, the best empanadas on the island, the new grill and salad menu is perfect. Rene's is a great host with a great menu to match. Try the Pollo 1/4, it was grilled and seasoned perfectly and it was served with a very fresh salad. The portion is more than enough, the empanadas are just uniques! Known by locals and tourists. In 1989 the family Tun Pech opened the small shop at the corner to sell the fathers catch of the day that eventually became the now well known restaurant of our days. This restaurant was awarded with the "destintivo M" for using fresh seafood. this award is given by the secretary of Tourism of Mexico. Go and try their fried fish ("pescado frito" in Spanish).This restaurant is a "must" for people that want to experience the real flavor of the island.
