Hotel Exterior

The Holiday Inn Express Abingdon is located 1.5 miles from historic downtown Abingdon, which was founded in 1778. Abingdon is home to the world famous Barter Theatre with plays showing year round; ask about our packages! Downtown is the 17 mile Virginia Creeper Trail, available for walking or biking along a beautiful, unspoiled path. Also nearby is Damascus, Virginia, the "friendliest little town on the Appalachian Trail". For NASCAR fans, Bristol Motor Speedway is 25 miles south of the hotel. Abingdon features a twenty block historic district that is on the National Register of Historic Places and offers many great antique and specialty shops. Abingdon is a great getaway for weekday or weekend. The hotel features large, spacious rooms with great lighting and all the comforts of home. We have a beautiful outdoor swimming pool, which is seasonal and opens each year on Memorial Day and closes on Labor Day. The pool hours are from 10 AM to 10 PM.

We have a great, newly renovated property and a warm friendly staff to take care of our guests.
