InterContinental Hotels Group Giving Criteria
All donations and sponsorships that InterContinental Hotels Group grants benefit communities where our company has a presence, and must enhance those communities by providing health and human services, education, arts and culture or community development initiatives. Organizations to which the company contributes must have legal charitable status. Donations must be used for the sole benefit of the eligible institutions and are restricted to the use of the project for which the donation is being made.
InterContinental Hotels Group does not direct contributions to: any non-profit organization that may constitute a conflict of interest for the company or any of its hotel brands; political parties or organizations with political affiliations; individuals seeking personal sponsorships; federal, state or local government organizations; religious organizations, except when the activity being sponsored by a religious organization is sectarian, such as a food kitchen or shelter.
| | Restrictions
At the corporate level, InterContinental Hotels Group directs all of our annual contributions to a group of carefully selected, major organizations that meet these criteria, and must decline most other requests for funding.
Locally, our employees and hotels raise funds and contribute to various organizations through the programs described elsewhere within this section of our Web site.
| | In-Kind Contributions
If you are requesting accommodations at one of our InterContinental Hotels Group properties, we ask that you direct your in-kind contribution request to the General Manager of the individual hotel at which you wish to receive accommodations or other hotel services.
