| InterContinental Hotels Group awards scholarship to Tephane Rainey
We’re pleased to announce that Tephane Rainey has been awarded the first InterContinental Hotels Group scholarship at the Kemmons Wilson School of Hospitality and Resort Management at the University of Memphis.
A full-time student, Tephane has more than five years experience in the hospitality industry and continues to gain operational experience at a full-service hotel in Memphis. She looks forward to an exciting career in the hospitality industry and notes that to her, hospitality means offering "fresh ideas with innovative and creative gracious southern hospitality."
SVP Corporate Affairs Vicki Gordon describes Tephane as a dynamic student with a promising future in the hospitality industry.
The company is pleased to be able to assist in the development of the industry's future leaders via the Kemmons Wilson School of Hospitality and Resort Management. The scholarship, which focuses on helping female and minority students interested in the hospitality field, is one portion of our support of the University of Memphis.
